Het geheimzinnige kleurrijke tekenwerk van Claudia Bröer overtuigde de jury. Het werk is dromerig en poëtisch, fris en krachtig. De noodzaak tot tekenen is zichtbaar in de beelden, dat maakt de tekeningen integer. Het tekenplezier nodigt de kijker om langer te blijven staan. De abstracte tekeningen geven ruimte om te dwalen door het beeld. Er zijn geometrische vlakken, er is soms de aanzet tot ruimte en ruimtelijkheid. Claudia Broër gebruikt haar materiaal op een interessante manier. Verf, kleurpotlood en stiften tonen ritme en richting van de vaardige hand van de kunstenaar. Die op dit kleine formaat een eigen wereld bij elkaar tekende die eigentijds is en die verrast.

The mysterious colorful drawing work of Claudia Bröer convinced the jury. The work is dreamy and poetic, fresh and powerful. The need to draw is visible in the images, that makes the drawings honest. The drawing pleasure invites the viewer to stay longer. The abstract drawings give space to wander through the image. There are geometrical surfaces, there is sometimes the impulse for space and spatiality. Claudia Broer uses her material in an interesting way. Paint, colored pencil and markers show rhythm and direction of the artist’s skilful hand. Who, in this small size, has created a world of its own that is contemporary and that surprises.
